12/2021 #GOTCHA#CANTLOOKAWAY reflects my recent obsession with TikTok.  With over 2 billion users worldwide, it is a fascinating (and sometimes repellant) insight into human nature. So many rabbit holes, so many different walks of life, points of view (POVs!).

In this work, I touched upon the underbelly of TikTok, delving into the world of seamy, illicit, unpleasant, sexualised pranks.  In this clip, somebody in a teddybear costume is upskirting a girl in a geisha mask, engrossed in something on the screen of her mobile phone.  Who are we, as the viewer?  Are we the girl on the phone, who is unaware of something happening to her?  Or are we the voyeur, seeing something we are not supposed to?  Either way - we can't look away.
